Basic:

Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Water 500 ml
Parsley to taste
Carrot 160 g
Bulb onions 160 g
Paprika to taste
bell pepper (frozen or fresh) 85 g
Turmeric to taste
Melted butter 1 tbsp
Red lentils 200 g

How to make lentils with vegetables? Prepare the ingredients necessary for cooking lentils with vegetables: lentils, onions, carrots, bell peppers, herbs, spices. You will also need some water (or broth, decoction), butter (you can use vegetable oil instead of melted butter) and salt.

Peel the carrots and onions, cut the onions into small pieces, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and lightly heat the spices in it.

Add chopped onions and carrots and fry lightly.

Add chopped bell pepper. Simmer until soft. At this stage, you can add other vegetables, for example, zucchini, tomatoes (without skin).

Add lentils to vegetables.

Pour in water and salt. Bring to a boil, cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. The lentils should become soft and crumble easily. Cooking a dish using green lentils will take more time.

The thickness of the dish can be adjusted by evaporating excess moisture and adding the missing. Add clean chopped herbs to the finished dish.
