Easy & Fast Universal Pie Dough

A very quick pie dough recipe — easy and simple. Firstly, it’s really simple, because even a novice housewife can prepare it. Secondly, it’s really fast, because we don’t have to wait a long time for the dough to sprout, etc. Well, in general, this type of dough is universal — we bake both closed and open pies with any filling using it.

Wheat flour 440 g
Water 220 ml
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Dry yeast 11 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make quick pie dough? Pour the dry yeast into a suitable deep wide bowl. For me they are instant.

Step 2

Step 2
Heat the water slightly and pour it over the yeast, dissolving it with a fork or spoon. We made a quick dough.

Step 3

Step 3
Let the mixture sit for about five minutes, and quickly sift the flour through a fine sieve to enrich it with oxygen.

Step 4

Step 4
Add the remaining dry ingredients – salt and sugar – to the flour. Mix everything thoroughly!

Step 5

Step 5
Add some of the flour to the dough and mix. Pour in vegetable oil, stir again.

Step 6

Step 6
Now knead the elastic dough, gradually adding the rest of the flour mixture. You can first stir with a spoon and then with your hands. Check the thickness of the dough — you may need to add more flour. Or, conversely, remove the excess.

Step 7

Step 7
We should get such a cute dough ball. Smooth, elastic, pliable, non-sticky.

Step 8

Step 8
Wrap the resulting bun directly with the bowl in film and place it in the warmest place in the kitchen. In an hour, or maybe even earlier, you can do whatever your heart desires with the dough!
