Very tasty and simple, a quick dinner for the whole family! It only takes 15 minutes to make spaghetti with cheese and tomatoes. Even a child can handle it. This dish is a real harmony of taste. Products can be replaced and new ones added, obtaining new combinations.

Basic:

Onion 1 pc
Garlic 2 clove
Tomatoes (medium size) 4 pc
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil 4 tbsp
Basil to taste
Soft cheese (Mozzarella) 125 g

How to make spaghetti with cheese and tomatoes? First of all, prepare all the ingredients you will need to prepare the dish. Take regular or cherry tomatoes, I used both. Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste or omit it altogether if desired. A sprig of fresh basil will add color and flavor to the finished spaghetti. If you don’t have fresh herbs, use dried or frozen ones.

Peel the onion and garlic, rinse together with the tomatoes under running cold water. Peel the tomatoes if desired. To do this, pour boiling water over the tomatoes, leave for 1-2 minutes, then drain the hot water and remove the skin. If you have a large ball of mozzarella, cut it into cubes or grate it on a coarse grater. I had small balls, I left some of them whole, the rest I cut in half. Chop the onion, garlic and tomatoes.

Heat vegetable or olive oil in a thick-bottomed frying pan. Send the onions to fry. Over high heat, stirring constantly, bring the onion to the desired degree of readiness. It can only be slightly simmered until a characteristic aroma appears, or it can be fried until golden brown. Add garlic and tomatoes to onions. Reduce the heat slightly and leave for 2-3 minutes.

Salt the tomato sauce to taste, add ground peppers and your favorite seasonings. For this dish I use a mixture of dried Provençal herbs; they go well with cheese and tomatoes. Add also fresh basil, chopped not very coarsely. Mix everything, reduce heat to medium. Cover the pan with a lid and leave the sauce to cook for 5-10 minutes.

Meanwhile, boil the spaghetti in lightly salted water.

Add a little more than half of the mozzarella to the tomato sauce.

Spread the spaghetti in an even layer and gently toss to combine.

Spread the remaining cheese evenly on top. Remove the pan from the heat and let the pasta sit covered for 1-2 minutes. Garnish the dish with a fresh sprig of basil and serve!
