Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to stew meat in Chinese sweet sauce in a frying pan? Prepare all ingredients according to the list. For this dish I used fresh pork tenderloin. Rinse the pork thoroughly under running water, cut into small pieces or cubes, rinse again and dry with paper towels.

Step 2

Step 2
Place meat in a bowl. Add starch, a tablespoon of soy sauce, a little water and a handful of sesame seeds. Stir and leave the meat to marinate for 15 minutes. In the meantime, letʼs get to the other ingredients.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the carrots, peel them and grate them for Korean salads. You can, of course, use another method of chopping carrots, but this is the one that will emphasize the Asian accent of the dish.

Step 4

Step 4
Peel the onions and cut into halves of rings or feathers.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Heat it on fire. Place the meat in a frying pan and fry, stirring with a spatula, over medium heat, about 5 minutes, until lightly browned.

Step 6

Step 6
Remove meat from pan. Place carrots and onions in a frying pan in the same oil, fry them over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the carrots become soft and the onions become transparent.

Step 7

Step 7
Add pork to the vegetables. Add tomato paste, half a glass of water, two tablespoons of soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, pressed garlic and ginger powder. Mix everything well so that the meat is covered with the resulting sauce.

Step 8

Step 8
Let the mixture boil, reduce the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the meat in the sauce for about 15 minutes. Then remove the lid and let the sauce thicken over the heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula. Turn off the heat. The dish is ready. Serve it to the table sprinkled with sesame seeds. Bon appetit!
