Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make chicken liver with gravy in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. If the chicken liver is frozen, then remove it from the freezer in advance and leave it at room temperature so that it defrosts on its own. Then rinse it in running water and dry it. If you have small onions, you can take 2-3 onions. I have one, but itʼs a big one.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and cut into half rings. Heat a frying pan until hot and pour a little vegetable oil on it. Add the chopped onions and fry for 1-2 minutes until they become translucent.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the carrots and grate them. Then add the grated carrots to the pan with the onions. Over medium heat, fry the vegetables for a couple more minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Step 4
Cut the liver into pieces and place in a frying pan with the vegetables. Mix everything. After 2-3 minutes of frying, the liver will change color.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix ketchup with a small amount of water and pour into the pan. Adjust the amount of water to your taste. I like there to be more gravy. Bring everything to a boil. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 5-7 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Chicken liver cooks very quickly. Break a piece — it should be uniformly gray in color, without a pink tint. If the ketchup is sour, you can add a little sugar. The gravy will thicken a little while it simmers.

Step 7

Step 7
Ready chicken liver can be supplemented with a side dish of mashed potatoes. Bon appetit!
