Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the products that you will need to make sandwiches with potatoes in a frying pan: several slices of loaf (you can take a denser one from yesterday), potatoes, vegetable oil for frying, salt and fresh tomato for serving.

Step 2

Step 2
Potato tubers must be thoroughly washed, peeled and grated. I grate it on a fine grater. Add salt to taste. If there is too much potato juice, squeeze out the excess. At this stage, you can add a variety of fillings to the potato filling: spices to taste, grated cheese, chopped pure herbs, finely chopped mushrooms.

Step 3

Step 3
Apply chopped potatoes onto the loaf slices in an even, neat layer and lightly press down with a fork or your hands.

Step 4

Step 4
Very carefully and carefully place the prepared sandwiches in a well-heated frying pan with vegetable oil. Important point: place the sandwiches with the potato filling facing down!!! Grill the sandwiches on one side over medium-high heat until browned to your liking.

Step 5

Step 5
Turn the potato sandwiches over to the other side and fry for another minute to brown the loaf a little. Remove the finished sandwiches from the pan and serve immediately. Rinse the tomato, dry with a towel and cut into circles or semi-circles and place on sandwiches. Also, sprigs of fresh dill would be a nice decoration for this dish.
