Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Letʼs prepare the raw materials for the tincture. You can hardly buy pine nut husks anywhere, but a lot of it remains when you purchase whole pine nuts and cones and when you eat the kernels. It is better to purchase alcohol for preparing such a tincture at a pharmacy so that it is medical, food grade and of good quality. Alcohol is the best base for tinctures, because it has a high degree of strength and better preserves the beneficial properties of the raw material.

Step 2

Step 2
Pine nuts, like their shells, contain resins that can spoil the taste of the drink with bitterness, and they are considered harmful to the human body. Therefore, it is better to steam the shells. To do this, rinse the shells of pine nuts (it is better to add a handful of crushed nuts, you can also use a little husk from the pine cones themselves, but you need a little so as not to spoil the taste of the drink with bitterness), pour them with boiling water and leave for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Step 3
Then drain the water, put the shells in a fireproof form and bake them in the oven at 120 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the raw materials for the tincture in a glass container, add sugar, pour in alcohol and shake well so that the sugar dissolves immediately. If desired, you can add honey to the ingredients instead of sugar to give the drink a little sweetness and a pleasant taste, as well as spices (cinnamon, cloves) or herbs (mint, St. Johnʼs wort, chamomile, thyme). But if the drink is prepared as a medicinal tincture, you should not get carried away with such additives, so as not to lose the beneficial

Step 5

Step 5
Close the container with a nylon lid and put it in a cool, dark place for 10 days. Every day, the container with the tincture should be shaken once or twice.

Step 6

Step 6
Strain the finished tincture through gauze folded in several layers, pour into a glass bottle, preferably dark glass. We store the tincture in the refrigerator or in a dark pantry.
