Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make homemade pita chips in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Pita bread and olive oil are the two main ingredients. I have direct pressed oil. Olive oil can be replaced with vegetable oil or even with tomato paste and sour cream. As additional ingredients to enhance the taste, take dill and cheese. In general, the sauce can be made from anything, you can add any aromatic spices. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.

Step 2

Step 2
Use scissors to cut the pita bread into triangles or squares, as you prefer. Moreover, the pieces do not have to be the same size. You can entrust this exciting activity to children.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash and finely chop the dill, peel a couple of cloves of garlic and pass it through a press and grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Step 4

Step 4
Make a flavorful dip for chips. To do this, mix olive oil, chopped dill, chopped garlic, salt and pepper (if desired). Mix well.

Step 5

Step 5
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper (baking paper) and place the prepared pieces of pita bread on it.

Step 6

Step 6
Using a silicone brush, brush each piece of pita bread with aromatic garlic sauce.

Step 7

Step 7
Sprinkle homemade lavash chips with some finely grated cheese. The cheese here plays a decorative role rather than affecting the taste of the chips.

Step 8

Step 8
Place a baking sheet with homemade pita chips in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. The chips bake very quickly! This will take about five minutes. But since all ovens are different, the exact cooking time for chips is difficult to determine. To prevent the chips from burning, do not go far and watch the color of the chips change. As soon as they have browned and acquired a golden color, it is time to take them out of the oven. Bon appetit!
