How to make honey wine from honey at home? Prepare all ingredients. The taste and aroma of the finished drink largely depends on the quality of honey. It is best to use light, floral honey. Although you can prepare it, for example, from buckwheat. But this will be an acquired taste. Pour clean water into a large saucepan and place on fire. Bring the water to a boil. Then add honey to the water and stir well until the honey dissolves.

Simmer the honey liquid over low heat for an hour. Stir occasionally to prevent the honey from burning. During this time, foam will form, which must be removed with a spoon or slotted spoon.

After an hour of cooking, add hops and boil for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat. Cool the finished wort.

Take a clean jar, treated with boiling water or steam. Pour the cooled liquid into it.

Wash the lemons in running water and pour boiling water over them. This will make them more flavorful. Cut the lemons into thin slices.

Add lemon slices to the jar with the honey liquid. If desired, you can add apple slices at this stage.

Close the jar with a lid and place it in a cool place out of direct sunlight. Leave the future wine to infuse for 2 weeks.
