Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the indicated products. Lightly salted salmon, it is better, of course, if it is home-cooked; if this is not possible, then buy high-quality fish. I will prepare two versions — with white and black bread, the bread can be varied to your taste. Medium-sized cucumber, fresh dill for filling and decoration. Instead of olives, you can use black olives. Prepare skewers for canapés.

Step 2

Step 2
For canapés, you can take white bread, black bread, with bran, Borodinsky or any other bread you like in combination with red fish. For canapés you need to cut out small pieces from the bread. You can use recesses for canapés, cookies or glasses and glasses, or you can simply cut them into squares. I use a special tenderloin for canapés.

Step 3

Step 3
Rinse the cucumber and dill under running cold water and dry. Cut the cucumber into slices, not very thick. If the cucumber is thick, then from the sliced circles you need to cut circles the same size as the bread. Finely chop the dill, leaving a few sprigs for decoration. Mix butter with chopped dill.

Step 4

Step 4
Remove the salmon from the packaging. For canapés, fish can be cut in different ways. I will use two methods for my canapés: squares and stripes. Cut the fish into thin strips and roll it into a roll to form a rosette. For the squares, cut the fish into thicker strips and cut them into squares.

Step 5

Step 5
Letʼs assemble the first version of the canapé: spread a thick layer of butter with dill on black bread, lay out the salmon squares and use a skewer to pin the olive. When serving, garnish with a sprig of dill.

Step 6

Step 6
The second canapé option: spread cream cheese on a cut-out piece of white bread, place a circle of fresh cucumber and attach a salmon “rose” with a skewer. You can also garnish with fresh dill.

Step 7

Step 7
Place the finished canapés on a serving dish and can be served. If you don’t plan to serve it right away, then it’s better to put the salmon canapes in the refrigerator.
