Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pasta with garlic in a frying pan? Prepare your food. Pasta can be used in any shape; I used spaghetti. The main thing is that they are made from durum wheat — such pasta is tastier and healthier. The article at the link at the end of the recipe will help you with choosing pasta. Instead of tomato paste, you can use fresh tomatoes, passata or tomatoes in their own juice. Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste. Spices and seasonings too.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel and chop the garlic in any way. I finely chopped the cloves with a knife; you can cut them into slices or put them through a press.

Step 3

Step 3
Place a pot of water for cooking pasta and a pan for the sauce on the stove at the same time. Pour frying oil into a frying pan and heat it slightly. Read about how to choose a frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place chopped garlic in the pan. Fry the garlic for a couple of minutes, stirring, over low heat — this will be enough to flavor the oil, but not longer so as not to burn it.

Step 4

Step 4
Add tomato paste to the oil and garlic in the pan. Fry it a little and then pour in water, about 100 ml. Mix the paste with water until smooth. Add spices, paprika and sugar with a pinch of salt to the sauce. Stir and leave the sauce to simmer over low heat.

Step 5

Step 5
Meanwhile, the water will boil, salt it and add the pasta. Turn the heat to medium. Cook the pasta according to the time indicated on the package — it will remain just al dente, a little hard. Meanwhile, the sauce will boil down to the desired consistency.

Step 6

Step 6
Transfer the pasta to the pan with the sauce. I don’t use a colander so that some of the liquid gets into the sauce — this will make the dish juicier. Stir the pasta and keep on low heat for a couple of minutes so that the ingredients “make friends” with each other.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve pasta with garlic, tomato paste and cheese. Sprinkle them with grated cheese before serving. Bon appetit!
