Wheat flour 1 cup

How to make pancake dough with kefir? Prepare your food. Sift the flour through a sieve. I usually use low-fat kefir, since its consistency is quite liquid. But in general, anyone will do. Heat kefir to room temperature. You can take it out of the refrigerator in advance, use the stove or microwave. Take eggs of any size, store-bought or homemade. It is best that all ingredients for the dough are at room temperature.

Add a small amount of soda to the kefir, mix and leave to stand for about 5 minutes. During this time, the soda will react with the kefir and the process of releasing carbon dioxide will begin, making the dough more airy and the finished pancakes tender and soft.

In a deep bowl, combine eggs with sugar and salt. Mix them lightly with a whisk. Add vegetable oil. Be sure to wash your eggs before using them, as even seemingly clean shells can harbor harmful bacteria. It is best to use food grade detergents and a brush.

Then pour kefir and soda into the eggs.

Gradually add sifted flour and knead the dough. To speed up the process, you can use a mixer.

I usually prepare batter for pancakes because I like my pancakes to be thin. But you can adjust the consistency of the batter to your preference, depending on what kind of pancakes you like. Kefir comes in different fat contents and consistencies. If the finished dough turns out thicker than you would like, you can add a little water to it.

Bake pancakes from the prepared pancake dough using kefir, frying them in a frying pan on both sides until golden brown. Bon appetit!
