If you prepare it in winter, then choose small cucumbers with pimples. Tomatoes, of course, are meatier. And when choosing vegetables and fruits, I focus on the smell: the more aromatic they are, the tastier their taste will be. In fact, now and in winter you can find good, high-quality vegetables in stores.

Unfortunately, my cucumber is long, but it is very fragrant. Wash the cucumbers and tomatoes well. It’s best to even use a special brush or detergent for washing fruits and vegetables, because when stored in a store they are treated with who knows what.

Cut off the “butts” of the cucumber and cut into semicircles. In fact, the type of cutting can be absolutely any: there can be mugs, and even cubes. This does not affect the taste in any way.

Cut out the stem of the tomatoes and cut them in any way convenient for you. I have these slices.

Rinse the greens well and dry. Grind. Lately Iʼve been chopping greens using scissors — itʼs a very convenient way to cut. It’s not at all necessary to take dill; any fresh herbs will do: maybe you like cilantro or parsley, or maybe green onions. In this matter, be guided by your preferences.

Place the cucumbers in a bowl, add dill and salt. Also at this stage, you can add your favorite spices and seasonings to the salad: if you like it spicy, add garlic and ground pepper; if you prefer a sweeter taste, sprinkle with sweet paprika, you can even smoke it.

Add chopped tomatoes, season with sour cream. Fat content is at your discretion. Of course, it is quite possible to replace sour cream with light yogurt for a more delicate taste or with mayonnaise for a more satisfying option.
