Avocado, Corn, and Tomato Salad

Vitamin-rich, bright, healthy and very tasty! If you want to diversify your daily menu and prepare something light and satisfying, try a salad of avocado, corn, mozzarella and tomatoes. This mix can replace a late dinner or complement potato dishes, chicken and boiled cereals.

Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Garlic to taste
Tomatoes 3 pc
Salt to taste
Sugar (optional) 0.25 tsp
Mozzarella 125 g
Bulb onions (I have a small red onion, but you can use regular onions) 1 pc
Vegetable oil 3 tbsp
Greenery to taste
Avocado 1 pc
Canned corn 100 g

How to make a salad with avocado, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes? Prepare all the necessary components.

Wash the tomatoes well under running water and dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the tomatoes in half, removing the places where the stem was attached. Cut each half into thin slices or medium-sized cubes, as you prefer. Place the tomatoes in a deep plate or salad bowl.

Drain the brine from the mozzarella cheese, cut the ball into small pieces and add to the tomatoes.

Wash the avocado and dry with napkins. Cut the fruit into 2 parts, remove the pit and peel. Cut the avocado into thin slices and place in a salad bowl.

Drain the juice from canned corn.

Add it to the salad. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into thin half rings. Wash and dry the greens, chop finely. Which onion is better to take, and what greens to use? Red, white onions or shallots work well for vegetable mixes. These varieties have a milder taste, unlike onion varieties, and are great for vegetable salads. For herbs, use dill, parsley or basil.

Prepare the dressing. In a deep bowl, mix vegetable oil, salt, sugar and garlic, passed through a press. Adjust the amount of salt and sugar to your taste. If you use sweet varieties of tomatoes, you don’t need to use sugar at all.

Pour dressing over salad. If desired, you can sprinkle ground allspice on top and sprinkle with lemon or lime juice.
