Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make Cole Slaw with cabbage and pineapple? Prepare your food. For salad, choose juicy, crispy, sweet cabbage — this will make it the most delicious. Canned pineapples are suitable both in rings and pieces. You can also use fresh pineapple. In addition to sour cream, natural yogurt or mayonnaise is suitable as a dressing.

Step 2

Step 2
First of all, chop the cabbage. You can use a special shredder or cabbage grater. I cut it with a regular knife, but tear off the cabbage leaf by leaf. Then I flatten them and cut them into thin strips. Cabbage cut in this way is the same in thickness and size.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater. Or cut it into thin strips. Or use a Korean carrot grater — it’s a matter of taste and availability.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the cabbage in a bowl, add salt. Use your hands to remember it well until the juice is released; salt will speed up this process.

Step 5

Step 5
Add carrots to the cabbage and stir.

Step 6

Step 6
Remove the pineapples from the jar and cut the rings into small pieces. If you already have pineapples in pieces, you can leave them as is.

Step 7

Step 7
Place pineapples in a salad bowl. Add sour cream there. Pepper to taste. I also added a little liquid from the jar for juiciness.

Step 8

Step 8
Stir the salad and serve immediately, as it will release a lot of juice after standing. Or top it up just before serving.

Step 9

Step 9
Bon appetit!
