How to make a simple salad with beef tongue, fresh cucumber and egg? Prepare the necessary products. I have beef tongue, but you can replace it with pork. Boil your tongue. You can cook the tongue without spices, but I like to cook it with the addition of a whole peeled onion, 2 bay leaves, 5 allspice peas, 2 cloves and 1 tbsp. l. salt for about 2 hours until done. This makes the tongue more flavorful. The exact cooking time depends on the size of the tongue and the intensity of the boil. Pork tongue takes less time to cook — about 1.5 hours.

Place the finished tongue under running cold water for a few seconds. Then peel off the skin. Cool the tongue completely and cut into strips. Prepare salads only from completely chilled ingredients. Prepared from warm salads, they can quickly go bad.

Wash and dry the cucumbers. Cut into strips. The peel, if it is not rough, damaged or bitter, does not need to be cut off.
