Hearty Chicken Fantasy Salad

From ordinary products, for dinner and on the holiday table! Fantasy salad with chicken is very filling and perfect for winter holidays. It’s not difficult to prepare, and the ingredients are quite inexpensive. The salad can be placed in a simple salad bowl, or it can be made in a ring, in layers.

How to make Fantasy salad with chicken? Prepare your food. Pre-boil the chicken fillet and cool, as well as the eggs — still peel them. You can use any mushrooms. I used champignons, but oyster mushrooms or wild mushrooms would also work. First of all, take tasty, natural cheese without milk fat substitutes. You can take ready-made mayonnaise or prepare it yourself.

Peel the onion and cut it into half rings.

Clean the mushrooms from dirt, wash and dry. Cut them into large pieces of arbitrary shape. Pre-boil wild mushrooms and cool.

Place the mushrooms in a dry, preheated frying pan and fry them over low heat until excess water evaporates. Transfer the mushrooms to a container.

Then heat the vegetable oil in the same frying pan over medium heat, then fry the onion in it until transparent.

Add the already dry mushrooms to the onions and fry them together over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Finally, salt the mushrooms to taste. Also remove the finished mushrooms from the pan, this will allow them to cool faster.

Boil the eggs. How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change. Cool and peel the eggs. While the mushrooms and onions are cooling, grate the eggs and cheese on a coarse grater.

Boil the chicken fillet. How to cook chicken breast? Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and place the meat in it. Add salt. Cook the chicken for 30 minutes at a low simmer over low heat. Cut the cooled chicken fillet into medium cubes.

Now you can either mix all the ingredients of the salad together, or lay it out in layers: half the fillet — mayonnaise — half the eggs — mayonnaise — half the cheese — all the mushrooms — mayonnaise. Then repeat the layers, laying out the remaining products: fillet — mayonnaise — eggs — mayonnaise. Gently sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the salad.

Decorate the salad with dill sprigs and flowers cut from egg white (I made the core from grated cheese). Of course, you can decorate it to your liking or not decorate it at all. Place the salad in the refrigerator for several hours until it is well soaked. Then serve. Bon appetit!
