Ground black pepper to taste
Eggs 4 pc
Potato 4 pc
Beet 3 pc
Carrot 2 pc
Mayonnaise 100 g
Herring (fillet 4 pcs.) 350 g

How to make Shuba salad with mayonnaise? Prepare your ingredients. To prepare Shuba with mayonnaise (or herring with fur coat) we will need: lightly salted herring fillet; potato; carrot; eggs; beet; ground black pepper (optional, I did not add) and mayonnaise.

Cut the herring fillet into small cubes.

Boil the potatoes in their skins. Then cool and peel. Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater.

Boil carrots in their skins. Then cool and peel. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Boil the beets in their skins. I take already boiled peeled beets. But there is no risk of running into a low-quality product. Then cool and peel. Grate the beets using a coarse grater.

Hard boil the eggs, cool and peel. Also grate the eggs on a coarse grater.

Place in a deep salad bowl or on a flat dish in layers, coating each layer, except the herring, with mayonnaise: potatoes — herring — carrots — eggs — beets.

Lubricate the top of the beets with mayonnaise. Cover the salad bowl with cling film and place in the refrigerator overnight to soak.

Before serving, decorate the salad to taste. I garnished with dill sprigs, grated egg and remaining herring fillets. Bon appetit!
