Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad with chicken, prunes and cheese and walnuts? Prepare your ingredients. Thaw the chicken fillet first if it was frozen. Take pitted prunes, the sweet variety. Hard cheese, any desired, with a not pronounced taste. I use red salad onions, but you can also use regular onions. My walnuts are already shelled and roasted.

Step 2

Step 2
Boil the chicken fillet. How to cook chicken fillet? Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and place the fillet in it. Add salt. Cook the meat for 30 minutes at a low simmer over low heat. Then turn off the heat and leave the fillet to cool directly in the broth — it will turn out juicy and soft. Cut the chilled chicken fillet into small cubes. Place the chopped fillets in a salad-ready bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Boil the eggs. How to boil eggs? Place them in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and place on low heat. Boil the eggs until tender, about 10 minutes. Then drain the water and fill them with cold water. Peel the cooled eggs and cut into small cubes. Place in a bowl with the chopped chicken fillet.

Step 4

Step 4
Sort the prunes and rinse under running water. Pour hot water over it for a few minutes, then drain the water, dry the prunes and cut into small pieces. Place it in a salad bowl with the other ingredients.

Step 5

Step 5
It is better to take walnuts immediately roasted (this way they are better absorbed by the body). Sort the nuts, remove the partitions and parts of the shell (this is provided that the nuts are already completely peeled). Chop the nuts into pieces with a knife. Place them in a salad bowl.

Step 6

Step 6
Peel the onion and chop finely. I use salad onions, they are not bitter and not “evil”. If you use regular onion, then it is better to pour boiling water over it for a few minutes so that the bitterness goes away. Drain the water and place the onion in a bowl with the previously prepared ingredients.

Step 7

Step 7
Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater. Add grated cheese to the salad bowl.

Step 8

Step 8
Add mayonnaise and salt to taste to the salad. Mix it thoroughly and serve. Bon appetit!
