Parsley 30 g

How to make white cabbage salad? Prepare the ingredients for its preparation. Choose late varieties of cabbage, it is sweeter and juicier. A sour apple, like Antonovka, is better suited. Onion — purple sweet. Instead of parsley, you can take any greens; it will be delicious with leaf celery. Any vegetable oil will do, I used extra virgin olive oil.

Remove the top leaves of the cabbage and cut off the required amount. Chop the cabbage as finely as possible into thin strips. You can use a special grater or shredding knife; I used the old fashioned way to shred it with a simple knife.

Place cabbage in a large bowl and add salt. Lightly crush it with your hands and leave for 5-10 minutes so that the cabbage releases its juice.

Wash and peel the carrots. Cut the carrots first into slices and then into thin strips.

Cut the apple in half and remove the core. Cut the apple again, first into slices and then into strips. In general, you can grate carrots and apples on a coarse grater, but it seemed to me that slicing them into strips would look more aesthetically pleasing.
