How to make a salad with ham and beans, cheese and croutons? Prepare the following ingredients. Take canned red beans. Hard cheese, whatever you like or whatever you have at home. I have rye crackers with salt, you can use your favorite flavor, then the salad will have a spicy note. Semi-smoked ham, can be replaced with sausage. For greens, I use dill and parsley, but any you like will do.

If you wish, you can boil the beans yourself, but it is much faster and more convenient to take ready-made ones. Choose high-quality canned food from a trusted manufacturer. Carefully open the can of beans. Drain the liquid by draining the beans in a colander. Rinse it in a colander under running water and leave it to drain for a while. Then place the beans in a deep salad bowl.

Open the package of crackers and pour the required amount of crackers into the salad bowl. Add them at this stage only if you plan to serve the salad immediately after preparation. If you prepare the salad in advance, then add the croutons immediately before serving, otherwise they will become soggy and lose their crispness. You can also make your own croutons.

Peel the ham from the film or casing and cut into cubes, they should be small. Add the sliced ham to the previously prepared ingredients.

Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater and add to the salad bowl. Choose high-quality cheese, without milk fat substitutes.

Rinse the prepared fresh herbs, I have dill and parsley, under running water and be sure to dry (excess moisture in the salad is not needed). Finely chop clean greens and add to the salad with other ingredients. You can use any greens you like in the salad. But without it, the salad will fade.

Add mayonnaise to the salad and mix thoroughly. Taste the salad for salt and add the required amount.

Serve the finished salad immediately. It can be in a common salad bowl, or it can be portioned, in bowls or laid out in a ring. A little garlic goes well with a salad. The salad is harmonious in itself and can even act as an independent dish. For a complete dinner, boiled potatoes are suitable.
