Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad from fresh cucumbers and eggs? Prepare your food. I prepared for two servings, so take one more cucumber and egg for each subsequent one. Choose small, pimply cucumbers, they are the most delicious. My eggs are rustic, with a bright yolk, about size C2. Dill would also be suitable as a herb, but I didn’t have it, so I took parsley. But I advise you not to exclude green onions — they give the salad a special taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the eggs thoroughly and boil them. How to hard boil eggs? To prevent eggs from cracking during cooking, place them in cold water and cook over low heat. Boil the eggs for 9 minutes after boiling, then cover with cold water and cool. The shell will be better cleaned from a sharp temperature change.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the cucumbers well under running water and then dry. Cut off the ends on both sides. Cut the cucumbers themselves as desired. You can do it in cubes, circles or slices, as I did. The skin, if it is not rough, damaged or bitter, does not need to be cut off.

Step 4

Step 4
Rinse the green onion feathers well under running water and dry. I advise you to be sure to dry the greens well before adding them to the salad. Wet greens quickly lose their appetizing appearance and become tasteless. Finely chop the onion.

Step 5

Step 5
Wash parsley or other greens well and dry. Tear leaves from thick stems. (You can use the stems when making broth or add them to other dishes). Finely chop the leaves.

Step 6

Step 6
Peel the cooled eggs and cut them in the same way as you cut the cucumbers. This will make the salad look neater.

Step 7

Step 7
Make a gas station. Mix sour cream and mayonnaise. You can use either only sour cream or one mayonnaise for the salad, depending on your taste.

Step 8

Step 8
Place all salad ingredients in one bowl. Dress the salad just before serving — if it sits dressed, the cucumbers will release their juice.

Step 9

Step 9
Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir, place in a salad bowl and serve. Bon appetit!
