Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make lavash envelopes in a frying pan? Prepare the ingredients. Lavash envelopes can be made in any shape. The process of preparing this snack is simple, but you need to follow some rules to make it beautiful and tasty. The bag of pita bread should be opened immediately before preparing the snack to prevent it from drying out. If the pita bread becomes dry, it may break at the folds; to avoid this, you need to sprinkle it with water.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the green onions and dry with paper towels. Chop finely with a knife or scissors. Cottage cheese can be used in any fat content to taste. Place the cottage cheese in a bowl, add a couple of tablespoons of rich sour cream. Sour cream can be replaced with mayonnaise to taste. The article at the end of this recipe will help you with choosing cottage cheese.

Step 3

Step 3
Add cooked green onions to a bowl with cottage cheese. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir. If desired, you can add grated hard cheese to make the filling “sticky” and more aromatic.

Step 4

Step 4
To make the envelopes even and neat, cut the pita bread into squares with scissors, not a knife. If the pita bread seems too dry, you can grease it with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Place the filling on top in the center, carefully tuck the edges of the pita bread so that it does not break along the folds, and fold it like an envelope.

Step 5

Step 5
Pour some vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Place the lavash envelopes in the frying pan, seam side down, to prevent them from unfolding during frying. Reduce heat to medium.

Step 6

Step 6
When the envelopes turn golden on one side, turn them over and let them brown on the other side. Cover the pan with a lid and let the filling simmer a little over the heat, no more than 7 minutes. How to choose a frying pan and oil for frying, read the separate articles at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the lavash envelopes with curd filling from the frying pan and serve as an appetizer, breakfast or snack between main meals with tea, coffee or other drinks to taste. Bon appetit!
