Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a salad with squid and tomatoes? Prepare all products. If the squid is frozen, then it should first be removed from the freezer. Read about all the intricacies of proper defrosting in a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. Take fresh green onions and medium-sized garlic. You need the usual two tomatoes or you can replace them with cherry tomatoes, there are about 15 of them. You can add more ground black pepper to taste. Prepare the dishes for the salad.

Step 2

Step 2
Pour water into a saucepan, add salt. Place the saucepan on the fire and bring the water to a boil. Place the squid carcass in boiling water and boil it for 1.5-2 minutes; do not cook it longer, otherwise it will become tough. Drain the squid in a colander and rinse under cold running water, removing the innards and skin. Cut the cooled and cleaned squid into not very thick rings and place in a salad bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Rinse the tomatoes under running water and dry. Remove the stem. If the tomatoes are large, then carefully cut them, leaving the pieces whole so that the pulp does not peel off from the walls of the tomato. If you choose cherry tomatoes, then simply cut them into two parts. Add chopped tomatoes to the salad bowl with the squid.

Step 4

Step 4
Rinse fresh green onions under running water, rinsing each feather. Remove not fresh and withered parts, cut off the root. Dry the onions a little so that excess moisture does not get into the salad. Finely chop the green onions with a sharp knife and add to the previously prepared ingredients.

Step 5

Step 5
Peel the garlic cloves and rinse. Pass the garlic through a press and add to the salad. In a sauce boat, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil (olive or sunflower, you can choose any other vegetable oil), add ground black pepper if desired. Mix everything. Pour the resulting dressing over the salad and stir.

Step 6

Step 6
Serve the salad with fresh tomatoes and boiled squid chilled. Suitable for dishes with rice or boiled potatoes. Bon appetit!
