Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make quick-cooking marinated beets with garlic? Simple enough. To begin, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. You can use beets boiled or baked in the oven in foil until tender. Stores sell ready-boiled beets in vacuum packaging. Using store-bought beets will save you cooking time.

Step 2

Step 2
Pre-boil the beets in their skins in boiling water until tender, or wrap them in foil and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 1 hour. The exact time depends on the freshness and size of the vegetables. Cool the finished beets, peel them and cut into slices or circles.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the garlic and finely chop it with a knife.

Step 4

Step 4
Now prepare the marinade. Pour water into a saucepan and boil. Add sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil and salt. Boil everything together for a couple of minutes.

Step 5

Step 5
Place boiled beets and chopped garlic in a deep bowl. Pour marinade over everything.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to marinate at room temperature for 8-10 hours.

Step 7

Step 7
Remove the finished beets from the marinade onto a plate, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve. It could be parsley, dill or cilantro. Take your time to get rid of the marinade. If you quickly eat beets and want more, this marinade will come in handy. Bon appetit!
