Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make beef liver cake for a holiday? Prepare the necessary ingredients. I used mayonnaise with a fat content of 67%. You can take mayonnaise and half sour cream. Pour boiling water over the liver and remove the film from it. Cut the cleaned liver into large pieces.

Step 2

Step 2
Place the liver in a blender bowl and grind it until mushy. I grinded for about 20 seconds at low speed.

Step 3

Step 3
Place the minced liver into a deep bowl, beat in the eggs, pour in the milk and two tablespoons of vegetable oil, add the sifted flour, add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4

Step 4
Knead into a homogeneous dough. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then stir again. The dough turns out runny. This dough was enough for me to make 5 medium-sized pancakes.

Step 5

Step 5
Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil (1 tbsp), lay out a fifth of the dough and level it evenly to form a moderately thin pancake. Fry the pancake on one side over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Flip the liver pancake and cook for another 1 minute. It will fry faster on the second side. Remove the finished pancake from the pan and pour in the next batch. I didnʼt add any more oil. As I already wrote, I got 5 pancakes.

Step 7

Step 7
For the sauce, mix chopped garlic and mayonnaise. I used mayonnaise at the rate of one heaped tablespoon per pancake.

Step 8

Step 8
You can start assembling the cake. Place the liver pancake on a flat plate or cutting board and brush it with mayonnaise sauce.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the next pancake on top.

Step 10

Step 10
And lubricate it too.

Step 11

Step 11
Place all the pancakes in a stack and coat each one.

Step 12

Step 12
You can decorate a beef liver cake with fresh cucumber, dill or green onions, and also use other decorative options, for example, a boiled egg, boiled carrots, tomatoes, etc. Give the finished cake time to soak. Bon appetit!
