Awesome herring! Great with potatoes and onions! The herring is just lovely! I read a recipe from fishermen in the newspaper. Now I use it often. The herring turns out to be very tender, lightly salted and without any Eshek.

Ingredients (6 portions)

Basic:

Salt 2 tbsp
Sugar 1.5 tbsp
Water 0.5 l
Bay leaf 1 pc
Peppercorns 10 pc
Herring (Ice cream) 2 pc
Carnation 1 pc
Mustard powder 1 tsp

We take a frozen herring, preferably a plump one, defrost it a little, make an axe-head and remove the skin. Removing the skin from frozen fish is very easy.

We clean the insides and rinse

Place in a suitable container

Prepare the marinade: put salt, sugar, cloves, mustard powder, pepper and bay leaf into a saucepan. Fill it all with water, bring to a boil, turn off the stove and let the marinade cool.
