Ingredients (2 portions)

Basic:

Salt (about 0.75 tsp.) to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Wheat flour 3 tbsp
Milk 100 ml
Bulb onions (large onion about 250g) 1 pc
Vegetable oil 100 ml
Corn flour 90 g
Quail eggs (or chicken) 2 pc
Thyme, thyme (I only have dry thyme) 1 tsp
Dry marjoram (1 tsp) to taste

Prepare food.

Prepare the batter: — Break the eggs into a deep bowl, add a little salt, and beat with a whisk.

Add room temperature milk and stir.

Add corn flour in parts. Mix with a whisk until a homogeneous, smooth dough forms.

Add spicy herbs /you can use those that you prefer/, ground pepper, salt. Stir and taste, adjust if necessary. Let sit for all the flavors to separate and combine.

Peel the onion, rinse and dry. Cut into thin rings/but not thick either, otherwise the inside will remain raw and will taste bitter /. Disassemble the rings into individual rings.

Breaded in wheat flour.

Deep fry until golden brown on both sides.
