Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make a homemade fluffy omelette with milk in a frying pan? Prepare all the necessary products. Take larger eggs. Choose natural milk, no matter what percentage of fat it has. Plant-based milk is also quite suitable.

Step 2

Step 2
Eggs are good, but wash them carefully. Egg shells can contain a lot of bacteria. Gently beat the eggs into a deep bowl.

Step 3

Step 3
Beat everything with a fork until the yolk and white are well mixed.

Step 4

Step 4
Pour in the milk. It is traditionally believed that for one egg they take the amount of milk that fits in half the shell of this egg. So you can use an eggshell to measure the amount of milk. Mix the mixture well with a fork.

Step 5

Step 5
Salt the omelet. I use regular sea salt, but salt with different additives will work. At this point, you can add whatever flavors you like to the omelette mixture. Fresh and dried herbs, onions, and garlic would be appropriate here. Or maybe you prefer a heartier dish, then add pieces of bacon, chicken, grated cheese and tomato pieces. I’m preparing a classic version of an omelet, so I don’t have any additives.

Step 6

Step 6
Prepare the pan in which you will cook the omelette. I use cast iron, but it can also be a ceramic or simple non-stick pan. Grease the pan with oil. It can be any vegetable, but it must be refined so as not to burn in the pan. Read about how to choose the ideal frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil for frying, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe.

Step 7

Step 7
Pour the omelette mixture into the pan. Be sure to cook on low heat, because... The omelette burns very quickly. Cooking time is about 8-10 minutes. The exact time depends on the operating characteristics of your stove and the selected frying pan. To ensure that the omelette is well-fried on top and fluffy, cover it with a lid. After 5-6 minutes, check the omelette for doneness.

Step 8

Step 8
Remove the finished omelette from the heat and leave covered for another 5 minutes.

Step 9

Step 9
Serve the omelet hot. Bon appetit!
