Carrot 500 g
Bulb onions 1 pc
Vegetable oil 100 g
Pork 400 g
Dry spices (Korean carrot spice mix) 1 tbsp
Vinegar essence 4 tbsp

How to cook pork hye with onions in Korean? The recipe is simple, follow the step-by-step description and you will succeed. Prepare all the necessary products. The meat in the finished dish is not heat-treated, so choose pork very carefully. The meat must be very fresh.

Rinse the meat and dry with a paper towel. Cut off the veins and excess fat. Cut the meat into strips across the grain. To make slicing more convenient, you can first freeze the pork a little.

Place the meat in a bowl, add 3 tablespoons of vinegar essence, 1 tablespoon of sugar and half a tablespoon of salt. The amount of salt can be adjusted to your taste. Be careful, for this dish we use vinegar essence, not table vinegar. Mix everything thoroughly and leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.

Peel the carrots and cut into strips using a Korean carrot grater. If you don’t have one, then just grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

Add 1 tablespoon of vinegar essence, 1 tablespoon of sugar and half a tablespoon of salt. The amount of salt can be adjusted to your taste. Mix everything and leave to marinate until the carrots release their juice.
