Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to stew mushrooms in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. You can use any mushrooms for cooking. These can be boiled wild mushrooms or, like mine, champignons. You can use sour cream of any fat content. The higher its fat content, the creamier the taste of the finished dish.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion and rinse in cold water. Then chop it finely. Turn the multicooker on to the “Frying” mode and pour a little vegetable oil into it. Add the chopped onion and fry it for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Step 3
Rinse the champignons thoroughly to remove dirt and dry. Then cut the mushrooms into 2-4 parts. If they are small, then just cut them in half.

Step 4

Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix sour cream with water. Stir so that the sour cream is well dispersed in the water and there are no lumps. Add salt and spices. For spices I use ground pepper and dried garlic. By the way, dried garlic can be replaced with fresh garlic by simply passing it through a press.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the chopped mushrooms in a slow cooker and mix with onions. Fry for another 3-5 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Then pour the prepared sour cream sauce over the mushrooms. Switch the multicooker to the “Stew” mode for 30 minutes. Close the lid and leave the mushrooms to cook.

Step 7

Step 7
Mushrooms stewed in a slow cooker are ready! They can be used as an addition to a meat dish or any side dish. Bon appetit!
