Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make cones with cheese? Prepare your food. Choose pasta from durum wheat varieties. Cheese and butter are of good quality, without vegetable fats. Any hard, semi-hard or soft cheese will do, as long as it melts well.

Step 2

Step 2
Boil 2.5 liters of water in a saucepan. The amount of water is calculated from the amount of pasta in the ratio of 1 liter per 100 g of pasta. If there is less water, the pasta may quickly become overcooked or stick together. Add salt and horns to boiling water. During the first 5 minutes, the pasta must be stirred periodically to prevent the pasta from sticking to the bottom. Cook the cones according to the instructions on the package. For me it takes 10 minutes, but I cooked it for 9, until al dente — slightly undercooked.

Step 3

Step 3
While the pasta is cooking, grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the pasta in a colander and let all the water drain. Shake the colander a couple of times to remove all excess moisture from the pasta.

Step 5

Step 5
Return the cones to the pan in which they were cooked. Add the butter and stir the pasta until the butter is distributed throughout the pasta. To speed up the process, you can first melt the butter over low heat or in the microwave. If you donʼt have butter on hand, you can add 1-2 tbsp. l. olive oil.

Step 6

Step 6
Add grated cheese to pasta.

Step 7

Step 7
Quickly stir the cheese into the pasta.

Step 8

Step 8
Immediately place the finished pasta on plates and sprinkle with herbs. Serve hot. Bon appetit!
