Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make ginger-lemon drink for weight loss? Prepare your food. Use filtered or bottled water for preparation — tap water can give the drink an unpleasant taste due to chlorine and impurities. Instead of lemon I used lime. Choose natural, high-quality honey.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the ginger root and dry it. Cut off the top layer with a knife. Cut the pulp into small pieces.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the lime (or lemon) well under running water with baking soda and a brush to remove the waxy coating that can be used on the fruit to prevent spoilage. Also cut the citrus into small pieces with a knife.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the chopped ginger and lime into a suitable sized thermos. Boil water and pour boiling water over the ingredients in a thermos. Close the thermos with a lid and leave the drink to steep for 40 minutes. For greater benefits, you can pour boiling water only over ginger, and when the water has cooled to a pleasantly warm state, add lime (lemon) juice.

Step 5

Step 5
Then strain the drink through a sieve.

Step 6

Step 6
Add honey to the drink to taste, stir well until it is completely dissolved. If you are concerned that hot water may affect the honey, cool the drink a little before adding it.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve the drink to the table. Hot it will also help with the onset of a cold. To lose weight (ginger speeds up metabolism), drink it between meals in any form, in small sips. Bon appetit!
