Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make kefir with cucumber and herbs for weight loss? Prepare your food. Take low-fat kefir, since we are talking about a diet drink. Choose a natural and high-quality product from a trusted manufacturer; the drink should bring only benefit and pleasure. The most delicious cucumbers are young ones, with pimples, look for those. If you donʼt have it, you can use regular ones. Whether or not to add salt and pepper is a matter of taste; they didn’t seem superfluous to me.

Step 2

Step 2
Take your favorite greens, wash them well and be sure to dry them; wet greens quickly lose their shape and become tasteless. I chose dill, but parsley, cilantro, basil, celery, and lovage would also work. You can take solo greens or a mix of different ones. Tear off sprigs of greenery from stems that are too coarse — they will interfere with drinking. Chop it finely. Do not throw away the stems — they can be frozen and used when cooking broth or sauces.

Step 3

Step 3
Wash the cucumber and dry it. Cut off the ends and remove the skin. It is very convenient to do this with a vegetable peeler. I advise you to cut off the peel even from young fruits — the drink will be more tender. Be sure to try the cucumber to see if it is bitter. Bitter fruit will ruin the dish.

Step 4

Step 4
Grate the cucumber on a fine grater. Not the one that mashes directly, but the one that makes thin strips. Still, don’t choose a large one — it will be uncomfortable to drink. Do not drain the released juice, it is tasty and healthy.

Step 5

Step 5
Take a large bowl and pour kefir into it. This will make it easier to stir. Add grated cucumber and chopped herbs to it. If desired, salt and pepper the kefir. I literally poured a pinch at a time. Mix kefir well with other ingredients.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour the drink into glasses, garnish with fresh cucumber slices and sprigs of herbs. Serve to the table. Bon appetit!
