Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make spaghetti with mussels? Prepare your food. For cooking, it is better to use spaghetti made from durum wheat — they do not boil over and are much tastier and healthier. Cream for the sauce is suitable for any fat content, keep in mind that the calorie content of the dish will depend on this. I used 10%. You can use any spices and spices you like. Garlic goes well with mussels.

Step 2

Step 2
Thaw frozen mussels first by transferring them from the freezer to the refrigerator — this way the defrosting process will be as delicate as possible. Then rinse the mussels with cold water and let it drain, transferring them to a colander.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel, wash and cut the onions into small cubes.

Step 4

Step 4
Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add chopped onion. Fry the onion over medium heat, stirring frequently until golden brown.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the mussels in the pan with the onions and stir. Fry everything together for 2 minutes until the moisture evaporates.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour in the cream and salt.

Step 7

Step 7
Add Provençal herbs and stir. Wait for the sauce to boil. Simmer over low heat for no more than 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Seafood should be cooked over medium heat and not exceed the cooking time so that the shellfish remain soft, tender and do not lose their taste.

Step 8

Step 8
At the same time, boil the spaghetti. How to cook spaghetti? Dip them, without breaking them, into boiling salted water and stir. Let the water boil. Cook the spaghetti over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until al dente, which is when the pasta is still slightly firm.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the spaghetti in a colander and let the water drain.

Step 10

Step 10
Place the spaghetti in the pan with the mussel sauce and stir. Warm up slightly.

Step 11

Step 11
Wash the parsley, dry it, chop it finely. Sprinkle spaghetti with mussels before serving with chopped herbs. Serve immediately. Bon appetit!
