Creamy Beef Stroganov in 40 Minutes

A simple and tasty dish for the whole family, in 40 minutes! Stroganov style beef turns out very tasty, soft, with a delicate creamy aftertaste. Everyone can cook it the first time. This recipe can be used to make any fillet meat.

Ingredients (3 portions)

Basic:

Salt to taste
Wheat flour 1 tbsp
Butter 2 tbsp
Water 200 ml
Sour cream 2 tbsp
Beef 500 g
Bulb onions 1 pc
Dry spices to taste

How to make beef Stroganoff? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. For cooking, choose young meat without bones.

Cut the beef into thin strips across the grain, approximately 1 cm thick.

Melt some butter in a hot frying pan and add the chopped meat. Fry it for 3-5 minutes until it changes color and starts to brown a little.

Peel the onion and rinse in cold water. Finely chop the peeled onion and fry in butter in another frying pan. The onion will become more transparent and softer. This will take 3-4 minutes.

Add flour to the fried onions and mix it with the onions. Fry the onion with flour for a couple more minutes.

Pour hot water or broth into the onion. Bring everything to a boil. When heated, the water will thicken and form a sauce.

Pour the resulting sauce over the meat. Add a little salt and spices to taste. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes. During this time, the meat should become softer. If necessary, you can add a little more water.

At the end of stewing, add sour cream to the pan. Stir. Heat everything together for a couple more minutes and remove the pan from the heat.
