Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make pork knuckle in a slow cooker? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. It is advisable to prepare the shank in advance — at least a day before the celebration. It will take approximately 12 hours to marinate and another 12 hours to simmer in a slow cooker.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the pork knuckle and dry it. If there is skin on the shank, clean it with a knife. My knuckle was already sold without skin.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the garlic. Cut each clove lengthwise into 2 parts. If you wish, you can use more garlic or replace fresh garlic with 2 tbsp. l. dry.

Step 4

Step 4
Combine soy sauce and mustard in a bowl. Stir.

Step 5

Step 5
Use a knife to make deep punctures in the shank on all sides. Stuff the leg with garlic.

Step 6

Step 6
Rub the shank on all sides with salt and pepper, sprinkle with dried herbs. Keep in mind that in addition to salt, soy sauce is used (albeit in small quantities) so as not to oversalt the meat.

Step 7

Step 7
Coat the pork with soy mustard sauce.

Step 8

Step 8
Place the shank on a large piece of foil folded in half and wrap tightly, lifting the edges of the foil up so that the marinade does not leak out. Place the shank to marinate in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours.

Step 9

Step 9
Place the meat wrapped in foil into the multicooker bowl and close the lid.

Step 10

Step 10
Set the “Multi-cook” program and the temperature to 80°C. Cooking time — 12-13 hours.

Step 11

Step 11
Remove the finished shank from the bowl. It turns out very soft and juicy. The meat comes off the bone easily. Unfold the foil. If you wish, you can additionally put the meat in an oven preheated to 200°C for 15-20 minutes to obtain a light golden brown crust.

Step 12

Step 12
Place the pork knuckle on a platter and serve with any side dish. Bon appetit!
