Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to fry potatoes on a grill in foil with lard? Prepare all products according to the list. If you have new potatoes, you can cook them without peeling them. Wash the tubers thoroughly and dry with paper towels.

Step 2

Step 2
If you have more mature potatoes, peel them, rinse and dry. Peel the garlic.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the lard into slices, not very thin. What kind of lard is best to use? Salted, smoked or smoked lard is suitable. Potatoes will be tastier if the lard contains layers of meat.

Step 4

Step 4
Prepare the dressing for the potatoes. In a deep small bowl, mix vegetable oil, garlic, passed through a press and finely chopped dill. Add ground black pepper, paprika and other favorite spices to taste.

Step 5

Step 5
Cut the potatoes into slices about 0.5-0.7 cm thick. Place the slices in a plastic bag (this will make it easier to mix the potatoes with the marinade), pour in the aromatic garlic oil. Add salt to taste, but keep in mind that lard is salty. Mix everything thoroughly so that every piece is in the marinade.

Step 6

Step 6
Thread potatoes and lard onto skewers one by one. Make a piece of lard on each edge.

Step 7

Step 7
Wrap each skewer in two layers of foil.

Step 8

Step 8
Light up the grill. When there are coals left after the fire burns out, you can move on to the next step. Place the skewers on the grill. Cook the potatoes with lard until the potatoes are done. It took me about 30 minutes. Donʼt forget to turn the skewers periodically so that the potatoes and lard cook evenly.

Step 9

Step 9
At the end of cooking, you can remove the foil and leave the skewers on the coals for another 5-10 minutes until all the components are browned.

Step 10

Step 10
The aromatic potatoes and lard are ready and ready to serve. Offer sauces, salads and fresh vegetables to accompany your potatoes.
