Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake turkey with mushrooms and cheese? To make the dish juicy and tasty, the turkey must first be marinated. Prepare the necessary ingredients for the marinade. If the honey is thick, melt it in a water bath.

Step 2

Step 2
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, liquid honey, basil, ginger and ground black pepper. Mix well. You can use ready-made spice mixtures. In this case, add them to taste, taking into account the composition indicated on the package. If the mixture contains salt, you can over-salt the marinade, since soy sauce has a salty taste. Be careful!

Step 3

Step 3
Champignons are better suited for baking; it is convenient to cut them into slices. You can take hard or melted cheese. Choose tomatoes that are firm and unripe so that they retain their shape when cutting and baking.

Step 4

Step 4
Wash the fillet and dry with paper towels. Using a sharp knife, make transverse cuts at a distance of 1 cm from each other, without cutting to the bottom of the breast.

Step 5

Step 5
Brush the turkey on all sides and in the cuts with the prepared marinade. Leave the fillet to marinate for 1-1.5 hours. You can leave it overnight. The longer the marinating lasts, the richer the flavor will be.

Step 6

Step 6
Wash the champignons, dry them, cut into thin slices.

Step 7

Step 7
Similarly, cut the cheese into slices.

Step 8

Step 8
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into thin slices with a sharp knife. Tomatoes can be replaced with other vegetables (bell peppers, red onions).

Step 9

Step 9
Place the breast into a baking dish. Insert 2 slices of cheese, mushrooms and tomato into each pocket.

Step 10

Step 10
Cover the pan with the breast on top with foil. It is advisable that the foil does not come into contact with the filling, otherwise the cheese will stick to it during baking.

Step 11

Step 11
Bake the turkey in an oven preheated to 190C for about 50 minutes. Then carefully, so as not to burn yourself, remove the foil and bake for another 25 minutes until golden brown. Cooking time is individual and depends on the operating characteristics of your oven.

Step 12

Step 12
Cut the finished turkey with mushrooms and cheese into portions and serve with any side dish. Bon appetit!
