Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make beef with green apples so that it turns out soft and juicy? Very simple! To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. To make the meat juicier, it is better to use the pulp of fresh beef or veal. In addition to these spices, you can add your own to taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the beef. Be sure to dry it with a paper towel, otherwise excess moisture will prevent it from frying — it will stew. Cut into cubes. If you use frozen meat, you must first defrost it properly on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onions and cut into half rings.

Step 4

Step 4
In a cauldron or frying pan over high heat, heat 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil. Place the meat and fry, stirring, until golden brown.

Step 5

Step 5
Add chopped onion and stir. Simmer everything together over low heat for about 20 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Pour hot water into the cauldron and bring to a boil. If you want a lot of gravy, add more water. Simmer the meat and onions over low heat, covered, for 40 minutes. The stew becomes tender and juicy.

Step 7

Step 7
Add tomato paste, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, coriander, cumin, salt and pepper to the meat. Stir and continue simmering while the apples cook.

Step 8

Step 8
Peel the apples, remove the core and seeds and cut into slices. For this dish, it is better to take sweet and sour apples, dense, not loose. Apples with loose pulp will quickly boil into porridge, but we need the apples to soften but retain the shape of the slices. Varieties with bright green skin are ideal — Semirenko, Granny Smith, etc.

Step 9

Step 9
In a frying pan with the remaining vegetable oil, fry the apples for 3-5 minutes. They should soften slightly, but not lose their shape.

Step 10

Step 10
If necessary, season the beef again with salt and pepper. Place apples and washed raisins on top. Cover the cauldron with a lid and place in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30-40 minutes.

Step 11

Step 11
Place the finished beef with apples and raisins on plates, sprinkle with herbs and serve with any side dish. Bon appetit!
