Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a wild boar leg in the oven? Simply and easily! Prepare all the necessary products according to the list. Carrots, parsnip root, onions and garlic are wonderful accompaniments to game. You can take any vegetables you want and replace the parsnips with potatoes, pumpkin or sweet potatoes, for example. Turn on the oven to 200 degrees in advance.

Step 2

Step 2
So, peel the vegetables and rinse. Wash the boar leg and dry it with paper towels.

Step 3

Step 3
Sprinkle the meat with salt, red and black pepper and any spices to your taste. I used garlic powder and a mixture of herbs de Provence. Using massaging movements, distribute the spices over the entire surface of the leg. Leave to marinate for 10-15 minutes, and during this time take care of the vegetables.

Step 4

Step 4
Cut the bell pepper, carrots, onions and parsnips into large cubes.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the vegetables and garlic in a deep bowl. Pour in vegetable oil. Lightly salt and pepper everything and sprinkle with your favorite spices. Mix everything well. I also used a few small chili peppers.

Step 6

Step 6
Line the oven sheet with baking paper. Spread the vegetables in an even layer. Place the boar leg on the sheet on top of the vegetables. Wrap the sheet with foil and place in a preheated oven for an hour at a temperature of 200-220 degrees. Next, remove the foil and bake the meat and vegetables for another 30-40 minutes. Please note that the cooking temperature and time may differ from those indicated in the recipe; be guided by the capabilities of your oven.
