Tomatoes 300 g
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Hard cheese 150 g
Mayonnaise 2 tbsp

How to bake beef with tomatoes and cheese in the oven? Itʼs very simple. To begin, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. If you use frozen meat, you must first defrost it properly on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. To make the meat soft and juicy, it is better to use fresh beef or veal.

Wash the beef, dry well and cut into slices about 1 cm thick. Carefully beat each slice of beef with a hammer on both sides. To prevent the juice from splashing in different directions, cover the meat with cling film or a plastic bag.

Cut the tomatoes into slices or circles. Choose tomatoes that are juicy but firm. Soft fruits do not hold their shape well; during cutting and cooking, they will spread into a shapeless mass and spoil the appearance of the dish.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. I have regular Russian cheese, but any to your taste will do.

Place the beef slices in a greased baking dish. Salt and pepper the meat. I additionally sprinkled utskho-suneli — it makes any meat more flavorful.

Lubricate the meat with mayonnaise on top.

Place tomato slices over the meat. Sprinkle grated cheese on top. Place the pan in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
