Oven-Baked Brisket in Cooking Sleeve

A delicious meat appetizer for any holiday table! Brisket in a sleeve, baked in the oven, is so tasty that almost all of it is eaten while still hot. But I still recommend making it ahead of time and saving it for holiday appetizers.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake a brisket in a sleeve in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. Choose thicker pieces of brisket with layers of meat. The more meat there is, the tastier it turns out. Even a small amount of lard in the brisket will add juiciness.

Step 2

Step 2
In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, mustard and vegetable oil. Peel the garlic and pass it through a press directly into the bowl. Add salt and spices to taste. When adding salt, keep in mind that soy sauce is already salty. For spices I use ground pepper, a little paprika and dried basil. But you can slightly change the spice composition to suit your taste. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade well.

Step 3

Step 3
Completely roll the brisket in the resulting marinade so that it is evenly coated on all sides. Leave to stand for at least 30 minutes. If you have time, you can leave it for a couple of hours.

Step 4

Step 4
To bake, place the brisket along with the marinade in a baking sleeve and tie it on both sides. Place the brisket on a metal baking sheet and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for about 1.5 hours. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe.

Step 5

Step 5
About 20 minutes before the end, cut the top of the sleeve and open the brisket so that it browns a little in the oven.

Step 6

Step 6
Remove the finished brisket from the oven, place on a plate and put in the refrigerator to cool. The brisket will firm up in the refrigerator and will be easy to cut. This cut of meat is great for sandwiches instead of sausage. Enjoy your meal!
