Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
Bay leaf 2 pc
Pork 800 g
Dry spices (for meat) 1 tbsp
Clove pepper (allspice) 3 pc

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make meat in a glass jar in its own juice in the oven? Very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use any meat: beef, pork, lamb. Chicken or turkey will also work. You can add or replace the vegetable part and spices to your taste.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the meat, dry it and cut into large portions.

Step 3

Step 3
Peel the onion and cut into half rings. If you or your children donʼt like onions, you can omit them altogether or replace them with another vegetable, such as bell pepper.

Step 4

Step 4
Place meat in a bowl. Add chopped onion, meat seasoning, salt and pepper. If your meat seasonings contain salt and pepper, add additional salt and pepper sparingly. If you wish, you can also add a little lemon juice. Mix thoroughly and leave to marinate for 10-20 minutes. If you have the opportunity, you can leave the meat to marinate overnight.

Step 5

Step 5
Place the meat and onions in a liter glass jar or several smaller jars. Add bay leaves and allspice peas. There is no need for additional oil, because when baking the meat will release a lot of juice and it will stew in it.

Step 6

Step 6
Cover the jar with a lid. Place the can of meat in an ovenproof dish or directly on a parchment-lined wire rack. Place the jar in a cold oven and bake for about 1.5-2 hours at 170°C. It is important to place the jar in a cold oven so that it heats up gradually and does not crack due to a sudden temperature change.

Step 7

Step 7
Cool the finished pork in the jar slightly. Transfer to a plate, garnish with fresh herbs and serve with any side dish. Bon appetit!
