Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make buckwheat with minced meat in tomato sauce in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Buckwheat can be baked in the oven without sauce, or with some sauce, which will make them especially juicy and tender. Tomato sauce will perfectly complement buckwheat.

Step 2

Step 2
Rinse buckwheat thoroughly until the water becomes clear. Fill it with water so that there is twice as much water as the cereal. Place the pan with the cereal on the fire, bring to a boil, add a little salt, reduce the heat and cook until tender. Drain the water. Let the buckwheat porridge cool slightly. Read more about choosing buckwheat and the nuances of its preparation in the article at the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 3

Step 3
You can use store-bought ready-made minced meat or grind it in a meat grinder from fresh meat. The dish will be tastier if you use minced beef and pork in equal proportions.

Step 4

Step 4
Finely chop half an onion with a knife, or grate it. Cut the other half into half rings; it will be needed for filling.

Step 5

Step 5
Add spices, buckwheat and diced onions to the minced meat. For taste, you can add chopped fresh dill to the ingredients; it will add a pleasant aroma to the buckwheat.

Step 6

Step 6
Beat the chicken egg into the minced meat and mix.

Step 7

Step 7
Grind the ingredients using a blender, but not to a mushy state, so that the cereal is still visually noticeable in the minced meat.

Step 8

Step 8
Pour some wheat flour into a plate. Use your hands to form cutlets from the resulting minced meat and roll them in flour on all sides. Turn the oven on 180 degrees.

Step 9

Step 9
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Read about how to choose a frying pan, as well as how to choose the right oil for frying, in separate articles, links at the end of the recipe. Place the buckwheat into the pan. Fry them on both sides until golden brown. It took me about five minutes on each side. Remove the buckwheat from the pan. Grease a baking dish with oil and place the buckwheat pancakes on it. For information on how to choose a shape, see the link at the end of the recipe.

Step 10

Step 10
You can use store-bought tomato sauce or make it yourself. Ready-made tomato paste, diluted with water, with the addition of onions, is suitable. Canned tomatoes in their own juice are also great. Just mash them with a fork, add onions, you can cut one bell pepper, it will add a pleasant flavor to the dish. You can grind fresh tomatoes in a blender and also use them as a sauce for pouring, adding spices to taste.

Step 11

Step 11
Pour the sauce over the buckwheat. Bake the dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 25 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven. You can learn about the operating features of ovens by reading a separate article, link at the end of the recipe. The liquid should evaporate. Bon appetit!
