Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make Swedish meatballs like in IKEA? Prepare the ingredients. Despite the large number of ingredients, their composition is very simple and they are all available. To make the meatballs especially juicy, tender and tasty, it is better to use minced pork and beef in equal parts. You can use ready-made minced meat or grind it from meat in a meat grinder yourself.

Step 2

Step 2
Peel the onion, finely chop with a knife and fry in vegetable oil until golden.

Step 3

Step 3
In addition to minced meat, you need to use breadcrumbs and boiled potatoes to make the finished product juicy. Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into several pieces, and boil the potatoes as if mashed in salted water. Drain the water, mash the potatoes, let cool slightly. Place minced meat, potatoes, and onions in a bowl.

Step 4

Step 4
Add bread crumbs, pour in a little milk, add softened or melted butter and cooled to room temperature and beat in a chicken egg.

Step 5

Step 5
Add salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix the mixture thoroughly to obtain a uniform consistency of minced meat. Form small meatballs from the prepared minced meat and roll them in breadcrumbs.

Step 6

Step 6
Heat butter and vegetable oil together in a frying pan. Place cooked meatballs on it.

Step 7

Step 7
Fry them on all sides until golden brown over high heat. Then you need to put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment and bring them to readiness, holding them at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Step 8

Step 8
Prepare creamy gravy for meatballs. To do this, put butter in a frying pan, melt it, add wheat flour to the butter and quickly stir the mass so that the flour does not form lumps. Immediately pour in a little water while stirring the mixture. Also pour in the cream, stirring everything again. When the sauce becomes uniform in consistency and thick enough, add spices to taste. Stir and remove from heat.

Step 9

Step 9
Making lingonberry jam. Wash the berries, put them in a saucepan, mash them, add sugar and a little water, put on the fire, simmer until slightly thickened. Remove the jam from the heat and let cool.

Step 10

Step 10
Serve the meatballs with cream sauce and lingonberry jam. Bon appetit!
