Minced meat 500 g

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make meatballs in a saucepan? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Boil the rice. To do this, rinse it thoroughly in order to remove dust, dirt, and talc from the grain (it is often used to give rice a marketable appearance and increase the shelf life of the product). Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

Step 2

Step 2
After rinsing, cook the rice according to package instructions. Mix boiled rice and minced meat. Add salt to taste. You can add other spices, for example, coriander, basil, garlic, a mixture of peppers. You can also add green onions, dill, parsley. Mix everything and start forming the meatballs. Itʼs better to do this with wet hands. I usually put a deep bowl of cold water nearby. And after forming each meatball, I dip my hands in water again.

Step 3

Step 3
To prevent the meatballs from burning, place fresh carrots grated on a coarse grater on the bottom of the pan. Carrots can be replaced with cabbage leaves. Place them on the bottom of the pan as well.

Step 4

Step 4
Place the meatballs on top of the vegetables, preferably in one row. If you have a small-diameter pan and there are a lot of meatballs, then you can do it in two rows. To do this, place more grated carrots or cabbage leaves between the rows.

Step 5

Step 5
Mix water and tomato paste. Tomato paste can be replaced with ketchup. If desired, you can also add mayonnaise and sour cream to the filling. Add a little salt and mix everything thoroughly. Pour the mixture over the meatballs. You can also add a couple of bay leaves to give the dish a more piquant taste. Place the pan on the fire. After boiling, reduce the heat. Cook the meatballs for about 40 minutes. The exact time depends on the characteristics of your stove.
