Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to bake catfish steak in the oven? The first step is to defrost the catfish steaks. To do this, transfer the fish from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator in advance, so it will defrost most delicately. Wash thawed steaks and dry well with paper towels.

Step 2

Step 2
Prepare the marinade. How to make a marinade? To prepare it, take a spacious bowl and combine vegetable oil, lemon juice and soy sauce in it. The healthiest and most delicious option will be with olive oil, but regular vegetable oil will also work. Choose soy sauce with a minimum of additives.

Step 3

Step 3
Add some fish spices. And add a little salt to taste. But keep in mind that soy sauce contains salt. If you like lightly salted foods, you can omit salt at all.

Step 4

Step 4
Dip the catfish steaks in the marinade and coat it on all sides. Cover the bowl with cling film or a lid and leave the fish to marinate for 1 hour.

Step 5

Step 5
Then cover the baking dish with foil and grease it with a little vegetable oil. Place the fish and place the pan in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 30-35 minutes. The exact time will depend on the capabilities of your oven and the size of the steaks.

Step 6

Step 6
Place the baked steaks on plates, garnishing with a little herbs or a slice of lemon. Serve hot. As a side dish, you can bake potato wedges and serve them along with the fish. Bon appetit!
