Puff Pastry-Wrapped Fish with Vegetables

Simple, fast, healthy, tasty, for the whole family! Fish in puff pastry is not just a puff pastry, but a full-fledged hot dish. This is achieved by adding vegetables to the filling, which give the fish juiciness and taste. The fish can be cooked either in individual portions or in one large piece.

Recipe instructions

Step 1

Step 1
How to make fish in puff pastry? Prepare your food. You can use either ready-made dough or homemade dough. Thaw it first if the dough was frozen. Any red fish is suitable — salmon, trout, chum salmon, pink salmon. Take ready-made fillets or cut the fish yourself.

Step 2

Step 2
Wash the onions and zucchini, dry and cut into thin slices. Instead of zucchini, you can use zucchini. What kind of zucchini works best? Choose young fruits with delicate skin. It is not necessary to cut off very thin skin. If using more mature squash, trim off the rough skin and scoop out the seeded center.

Step 3

Step 3
Cut the fish fillet into portions and remove the skin. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. You can also add your favorite herbs and spices.

Step 4

Step 4
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 5mm thick, then cut it into rectangles. Place the filling on one half of the rectangle: a layer of onion, a couple of zucchini slices and a piece of fish. Cut the other half of the dough with a knife as in the photo and cover the filling. Pinch the edges and seal them with a fork.

Step 5

Step 5
Form all the blanks in this way. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Step 6

Step 6
Fish in puff pastry is ready! The dough has browned and risen, looks attractive and appetizing.

Step 7

Step 7
Serve fish in puff pastry with fresh vegetables, sauces, and herbs. Bon appetit!
