For the cakes:

Sugar 1 cup
Wheat flour 2 cup
Butter 200 g
Sour cream 70 g
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste

For cream:

Boiled condensed milk 400 g
Butter 200 g
Sour cream 2 tbsp

How to make a Squirrel cake? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. The flour must be sifted through a sieve. Peel the nuts if necessary, or you can buy already shelled ones and save time. Then fry the nuts in a hot frying pan without oil until slightly browned, but don’t get carried away: if you overcook the nuts, the cakes will acquire an unpleasant smell and burnt taste. Remove the butter and boiled condensed milk for the cream from the refrigerator in advance.

Melt the butter in a saucepan or saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Leave the oil to cool to room temperature.

Bake the cakes in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Your baking time and temperature may vary. Let the cakes cool to room temperature, then carefully remove the parchment paper from them (the cakes will break when hot).

How to make cream for Belka cake? Place softened butter and boiled condensed milk in a bowl, beat them until smooth. Add sour cream and mix thoroughly until smooth. Place in the refrigerator until the cream acquires a thicker consistency, i.e. became thicker.

Place the cooled cakes on top of each other on a plate and layer them with slightly cooled cream.

Grease the sides and top of the cake with cream. Decorate the top of the cake as desired.
